Watching Heroes of Cosplay and prospit dreamers Terezi and Kanaya are in the competition look how amazing their cosplay is!!!

Hey there – this is me and Cat as Kanaya and Terezi!

Cat and I have been dreading tonight’s episode for the past two weeks, and while neither of us have been able to watch the episode ourselves yet, it seems like what happened was the best possible scenario.  No sneakily edited interviews, no footage of us shoveling food in our mouths while waiting in line (which was actually filmed by one of the camera dudes lurking around, without our consent), just a couple seconds of us walking on stage.

I was preparing to be relieved if we didn’t make it on the show, but unexpectedly I am pretty happy about the whole thing?  Cat told me to look through the #heroes of cosplay tag because people were actually getting excited about Homestuck costumes being featured on the show in a positive light, and I just… wow.  I am so happy.  That’s one of the biggest reasons why I chose to do my fancy Kanaya cosplays, so that I could compete in them and hopefully show some nay-sayers that Homestuck cosplay isn’t just t-shirts and Ben Nye.

I am so relieved.
