In case you weren’t here for last night’s debacle, a team of pro-Syrian hackers labeling themselves as the “SeCuR!TY LiONS“ hacked the MSPA Forums last night. The attack was committed against the vBulletin servers at aaround 11:30 last night, consisting of a number of pictures and videos detailing alleged war crimes committed by the Syrian rebels being displayed on the top of every page of a number of forums, with music autoplaying in the background.

Hussie’s official response was one of nonchalance, stating that an attack by Turkish hackers when the forum was much smaller worried him far more The forums appear to have recovered, but amid fears that the hack was more malicious in nature than it appears, it is recommended you take the following steps to secure yourself against any potential threats:

• Change your forums password. If you use the same password for anything else, change those, too.
• Delete any cookies from the MSPA Forums if you have visited during that time.

The larger impact of the attacks in the media has yet to be determined, but all this reporter has to say is that Homestuck has officially taken over the Syria tag on Tumblr. All claims of other fandoms taking over simple posts appear to have been rendered moot by this.
