also like…just because a few people in a marginalized group dont think theyre oppressed or w/e that doesnt immediately invalidate the experiences and opinions of the other people in the group ????? like?? a few people saying something about how having dreadlocks is not cultural appropriation does not make it okay to have them. a gay person having no problem with the f-slur doesnt mean that all gay people should be okay with it. ??? this is rly flawed logic
exactly. it just makes it easier for privileged people to look at the people in the comic and go “oh i guess i dont need to check my privilege then, it’s okay with this one person.” and then they ignore the fact that the majority of the same marginalized group feels incredibly offended
