A huge special thanks to Zeph for being such a huge part in putting this panel together as well as our official photographer!

Additional thanks to our volunteers who were planted questions and to our awesome audience! We are really sorry to those who were not able to stay the entire two hours due to issues with room capacity but it really means a lot that you came to see us! Thank you all so much!

This should answer any further questions about who was on the panel

Okay I’d like to talk about this photograph for a second. First off I’d love to thank Lance for taking this epic photograph.

But can we talk about what all the cosplayers are doing in this photo?

They’re all waving.

“Oh they’re probably waving to the photographer, right?”

Wrong.

I’m the heavier set Karkat at the very front, and I’d like to tell you who they’re waving at, because this photo probably wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t noticed who was watching. In fact, I know it wouldn’t have happened.

There was a red headed woman, probably in her early 50’s, watching the last half of Saturday’s photoshoot from a stone stairwell that resided over the park. She didn’t take photos, she didn’t yell, she just observed. She was one of many who had paused, but this one stood out to me the most prominently. She was smiling, and as we all turned to head toward the hotel when the shoot was over, I caught her waving at me. I smiled, and started waving back.

“Hi!” I yelled.

“Hi!” She responded. This caught the attention of the other cosplayers, and they all started waving at her and saying hello.

I know the woman they’re waving at very well.

They’re waving at my mom.
