~~~HAPPY 413!!! HOMESTUCK COLAB GAME!!~~
hey everyone its been a great 5 years, were all grown up!! I thought I would put in my two cents for my favorite comic’s birthday, and make a game with my good friend Myles!
It was a lot of hard work, and we did it all in about 9 hours so there are blank stats and such but for the most part pretty done! We wanted to focus on the battle techniques of all our beloved 4 beta kids. Myles did a wonderous job coding the whole thing, he did most of the work tbh. I just did the art part hahaha.
Hope you enjoy! happy 413 again!
Storium is an online storytelling game that allows players to create a story through a series of scenes, reacting to obstacles and people as you come across them.  It’s played with 3 people, with one person playing as the Narrator, and the other 2 playing as the characters.
The Narrator chooses the world that the story is set in (with choices such as ‘occult pop horror’, ‘medical drama’ and ‘cyberpunk’), then starts each scene, using cards to give the players challenges to overcome.  The players will then try to overcome these challenges as they see fit, progressing the story  in fun and interesting ways.
There are a few more rules, but it’s remarkably easy to pick up and is only limited by your imagination.  Storium is a fun and fluid way of storytelling, with players reacting to each other and no-one being fully in control, it can lead to some VERY interesting stories.
Our attempt was an occult pop horror called ‘The Badgers of Doom’, they’re black, they’re white, and they bite!  Coming soon to cinemas near you!
SburbCraft: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/912671-ctm16x-sburbcraft-a-homestuck-map-4000-sessions-16-update/
okay huge recommendation time! i’ve played this map with my friends and it was so much fun, although had a lot of issues. it looks like they’ve now been ironed out for a version that’s compatible with 1.6!
The goal is to gather special blocks from the landscape towards a final goal to build a staircase and Ascend, then complete the final challenge above. The worlds of SburbCraft are large however, and it is 100% suitable as a map to play standard Minecraft survival on, before or after the goals or even ignoring the dungeons entirely.
make sure you use the texture they provide!
Aggregate Adventure: A Homestuck Co-op platformer
So this is something I’ve been working on for the past couple of months. I was lucky enough to be able to take the summer off, so I decided to make a video game. It consumed my life.
Aggregate Adventure is a Homestuck-themed 2-player co-op platforming game.
2-player co-op?
Yep! I really enjoy co-op games, and I find that the majority of multiplayer games today are competetive, so I wanted to make something different. AA is all about cooperation with a friend. Work together to explore the Medium, collect and build up a huge hoard of grist, take on monsters, and keep each other alive.
Can I play it with someone online?
Not yet, but soon! I know that online multiplayer is likely to be a big deal for a lot of people, and it’s the top-priority on my to-do list. I wasn’t able to include it right from the beginning because I wanted to work out how the game would actually play first. Also, I’ve never made a video game before.
For now, you can play locally with a friend at the same computer. I know sharing the keyboard gets a bit cramped, but it’s the best I can do until I get online play working.
Can I play it by myself?
Yes. The game is designed to be played by 2 people, but you CAN also play it alone by alternating control between both characters. Or, if you’re incredibly ambitious and dextrous (ambidextrous?), you can control both characters at once if you change the keybinds around a bit.
Requirements:
I built this project in GameMaker Studio, so your computer will need to have DirectX 9 or higher installed (you probably already have it). For the moment it is only available on Windows.
The game runs in a 1080×720 sized window, so your screen resolution will need to be at least that size.
NOTICE:
This is a very (very) early build, so the game is nowhere near finished. Almost everything, from mechanics to artwork, is going to be revised, reworked, or replaced at a future date. I wanted to release an early version now because, even as it is, I’ve been having a lot of fun playing around with it, and I thought others might as well. Also I needed a bit of a kick in the pants to keep working on it.
I’m actively developing this game, so if you have any feedback, I’d really like to hear it. Too easy? Too hard? Worst game you’ve ever played? Best thing ever? Let me know what you think.
If you encouter bugs (e.g. being stuck in a wall), or crashes, or (especially!) if the download is not working, please tell me about those too. Contact me through the Requests & Inquiries page.
This game is the intro to my fan adventure, Don’t Go to Sleep.
In this game you can explore Terezi’s dream and watch as a mystery begins to unfold before you.
SEIZURE WARNING FOR SOME PARTS!!
Also it might be kinda loud so if you are wearing headphones I’d suggest turning the volume WAY down.
You can play the game here.
HERES THE GAME GUYS.
Note to self: Never try to make a game in one day again. Yikes.
I really wanted to draw something good for 4/13, but with my tablet gone I felt it was a lost cause. This morning I found a sudden burst of determination and roped Vogun into making this quick game with me instead. A whopping big thanks to redasatomato and 3pithimia. 3pithimia was super helpful and volunteered to do Jane’s part, but there was a problem with the music and we couldn’t use it u_u I still want to thank her for all her effort, I’m sorry it didn’t work out! And at the last minute I asked Redasatomato if she could sing it instead, and she swooped in, saved the day and and nailed it in just a few minutes! Thank you both for answering my unreasonable request!  Happy 4/13 everyone!
