I feel like there’s been a realization that youtubers/let’s players have been acting more like businesses rather then entertainers doing it for the sake of it (The Creatures/Cow Chop/Dex mess that happened last month is a good example). And like RT is a company, I get that but obviously people are not happy about the path they’re taking. At this point I’m just waiting for a response from RT and/or Sheena to really cement my feelings on this topic.

goddang guess I’ll throw my two cents in.

I’m biased in this situation already i.e. I’ve stated multiple times before of my dislike of Dex. This time I’m going in clean. I watched his video, I gave myself time to think before I type, I considered similar incidents. And I’m gonna say that there’s no easy answer. Part of me thinks Dex is doing this for the Drama. Because listen, yes The Creatures ARE a business. Just like Rooster Teeth and Funhaus and Game Grumps. Yes, youtubers WILL act much differently on camera. Michael Jones is not just a ball of angry rage. The funhaus guys are very dedicated and serious when it comes to work. Youtubers are not one dimensional characters.

Most of Dex’s grief in his vid comes from not being able to deal with fans calling him out on acting unprofessional/dealing with the consequences. He’s insulted underage girls multiple times. He was censored for a reason.

There’s another part of me giving him the benefit of doubt. Maybe the guys did take advantage of their “boss” status. Maybe he was rebuked when he got drunk on his own social time.

Tldr: No duh ppl act differently off camera, I don’t trust Dex 100%, this feels like a high school lunchroom drama fight.
