septemberafternoon:

❝les amis MONSTERBOYS❞: { jehan – dryad }

“i will shelter you when you’re alone. cradle you wwithin myself, support the spirit of your mind. to natures child comes nature’s wealth.”

 he is a subject of poetry and literature and that which captivates whimsical nature; from classic lore, from keats, and coleridge. jehan would rather himself nothing more than a muse for those onlooking; hiding more often among leaves and brush and making careful observation. it’s in the woods that men hold axes and hostile nature and what better is the chance to cut something down that simply enchants?

by mythology he is aware that his kindred are prominently female from the gracing likes of chrysopeleia, pitys, and eurydice. and this leads to the conclusion by many whom see him basking in the sun that he is nothing different than the rest. humans are endearing in that way but nonetheless – he would rather spend his time mingling in the trees attempting to write that which enthuses him.

by nature of the Romantic he observes leaves as they fall from his branches and flowers wilt from his forehead from their spring crown. nature is fragile and alive; ever constant – and he’s perfectly content with his own place in the teetering balance of life. he’s seen his kin burn, he’s watched the night sky glow red.

there are things that need to be changed, words to be heard, life meant to rise from the ashes.
