It’s 12:00 am eastern time right now in the US so Happy Homestuck Day!!! May the upd8 be kind to our weary souls
I wanted to dismiss this upd8 as anticlimactic.
Then I took a closer look.
Rose is no longer drunk.
Terezi is still blind.
Gamzee is missing.
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW

Because Terezi changed her mind and kept her glasses on…
Gamzee wouldn’t be able to pick them up later on…
And Equius wouldn’t be able to mistake Gamzee for Terezi.
Not only that, but via Terezi’s glasses, Gamzee sent a ‘honk’ to Karkat here, which led to Karkat contacting Equius about what was going on. Only then Equius decided to actually “l00k into it”. This resulted in Equius being murdered by Gamzee, Nepeta witnessing it and pouncing into her own demise.
Of course there are still many factors playing into this whole scenario, but if this pans out just the right way Equius and Nepeta could be saved. For now.
