Hey, Homestucks! I hope you’re all enjoying the final upd8s as much as I am. Whilst this past week has been absolutely amazing, I hope you haven’t forgotten about us over at the Beforus project in all the excitement, because we’re ramping up for our own final release!
For those not in the know, Beforus is a project to put together a Homestuck fan album, with the focus on the Beforan trolls, who have sadly been neglected by the mainstream Homestuck ost canon. What we have created has turned into the largest Homestuck fan album, and indeed the largest Homestuck album, ever created, with 82 tracks and just as much fantastic fanart to serve as cover art for each individual piece.
The project has been in development for well over a year, and so I am pleased to tell you that, just in time for the end of Homestuck (and indeed pre-empting it by three days), we are going to be ready to release our finished product, both as a download and hosted on the Unofficial MSPA Bandcamp.
Beforus will release on Sunday April 10th. That’s one week from today! And to celebrate the occasion, we are holding a big release livestream, where we will stream, for the first time ever, the Beforus album in its entirety, before the album is put up on Bandcamp and for download in its general release! This livestream will consist of a continuous stream of around four and a half hours of new Homestuck music material, with the accompanying track art shown alongside, and commentated by your’s truly. Following this, there will be an open Q&A session, where some of our wonderful contributors will be answering questions about working on the project. This is exciting, as most of our process has been entirely under wraps up until now!
This is a unique and exciting Homestuck event, so be sure not to miss it! The details and times are as follows:
The livestream will be on Sunday April 10th, 2016, and begin at 7pm BST (1pm CDT). The Q&A session (be sure to at least come for the Q&A!) is projected to behind at around 11:30pm BST (5:30pm CDT).
